Today we are sending out an info sheet to launch our speaking ministry. You can find a link to that flyer at the bottom of this post. Why are we launching our speaking ministry now? Here's the story...

In March of this year Timi and I were praying about direction for our lives and ministry. It seemed that many obvious doors for employment were closed to us but one door seemed to remain consistently open... we just couldn't see how it would pay the bills! So, after talking and praying over our vacation time, we laid a fleece out for God. We said, "Lord, if we're going to have a teaching ministry we need a laptop computer. If you send us a laptop we won't ask, 'which way?' anymore. We'll just ask, 'How?!!' Show us which way you would have us go."

I came home with great expectations. I knew I would have a laptop soon! But a week went by, then a month. As time passed, I finally thought, "Well, I guess we have an answer."

Then, about six months after we laid the fleece out, a friend came up to me and said, "I have a computer for you."

"Really," I replied. "What do you have?"

"O nothing fancy just an older Mac laptop!"

Now mind you, we had not shared our fleece with anyone. So when he said this my world started spinning!!

Since that conversation we have been praying, planning, and seeking council as we prepared to launch out into what God is asking us to do. We still don't know how it pays the bills but we have seen Him provide for our needs long enough that we know we can trust Him to continue!
